Collaborated with artists Lize Mogel and Lex Bhagat, Sharjah InfoCart and CityMap is a “people’s map” of Sharjah City in the United Arab Emirates. The map is an alternative representation of the city determined in part by the people who live and work there. A mobile cart was designed and traveled to public spaces to survey residents, workers, and visitors about places in Sharjah that were important to their daily lives. This information was used to create the CityMap in 6 languages: Arabic/Urdu, English/Tagalog, and Malayalam/Bangla, and distributed for free from the InfoCart during the Sharjah Biennial.
The map is featured in the book Visual Storytelling: Inspiring a New Visual Language published in October 2011 by Gestalten Verlag.
